League are a band whose members come from both L.A. and London. Here’s how they describe themselves:
We are LEAGUE, a journalism and architecture students that dropped out of college to live in a tent, on the beach, a primal experience that was a huge influence, that we managed to mix with a modern/urban sonority, to make a connection between two distinct worlds.
Our music tackles social and emotional issues within a psychedelic, naturalist and ethnic/tribal context.
They recently released their new EP, How Do I Know. You can check it out right now at their bandcamp page.
The title track is a big bombastic track with with a lo-fi quality that longs for a big epic reach. It’s a good one. The other two songs included on the EP, “Your World” & “The Shore” are equal in quality.
These guys should’ve released this EP during the summer, because these songs would sound magnificent during the freedom that the warm summer air brings. All 3 tracks deserve your attention because they are catchy, feel good, and memorable. Not a bad trio.
Stream the entire EP below:

Earlier in the year they released the Golden Maps EP. Take a listen to that here or stream it below:

Coldplay covered Rihanna’s “We Found Love” as a part of their session for BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge. Makes sense since the band teamed up with the pop star for Mylo Xyloto track, “Princess Of China”. The band also played “Paradise” and “Hurts Like Heaven”.
The cover is pretty nice, it works for them.
Download it below:

“We All Go Back to Where We Belong” is the final single from R.E.M. who recently called it quits. It will appear on their more than necessary greatest hits collection, Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbarge: 1982-2011 (out November 15 via Warner Bros.).
The band has released two music videos for the single. One features the always lovely Kirsten Dunst, while the other features poet/performance artist John Giorno. Both videos are shot in black and white, and get as up close and personal as you can get.
Check out what’s likely to be the last music videos from R.E.M. below:

“Evil Twin” is the rocking new b-side from Arctic Monkeys. It’s featured on the bands “Suck It And See” single release that will hit stores on October 31st. The band are celebrating the song by releasing another Matt Helders starring music video for the new song. Once again the bands friends at Focus Creeps directed the clip.
The 7″ single is available to purchase from the band right here. The video is ready to watch below. It’s a good one. The real question is, when is Matt Helders going to takeover Hollywood?
