[music video]: Summer Camp – Down Posted: 28 Oct 2011 04:00 PM PDT Summer Camp’s music video for “Down” is one of the most creative ones of the year. It’s a perfectly timed Halloween themed video. Got to hand it to director Chris Boyle who did a great job all around. It’s like a collection of clever gif’s to document an interesting Halloween party. Watch the video below: |
Kele – Goodbye Horses (Q Lazzarus Cover) Posted: 28 Oct 2011 03:12 PM PDT For some reason Q Lazzarus’ “Goodbye Horses” has oddly surfaced as a song that we’ve been playing a lot here at school. Don’t ask. It has to do with Silence Of The Lambs. So I was interested to hear Kele’s cover of the song, which he put on his new EP, The Hunter (out on November 7th). I liked the beginning, but I’m not sure how I feel about the breakdown in the middle section. It’s a fun cover, and it makes me want to listen to the original once again. David Lynch – Pinky’s Dream (Feat. Karen O) Posted: 28 Oct 2011 01:06 PM PDT Karen O is featured on the new David Lynch track “Pinky’s Dream”. It’s the opening track on Lynch’s debut album Crazy Clown Time. It’s a somewhat twisted grunge track that perfectly suite Karen O’s vocals. Take a listen to the track below thanks to our pals at One Thirty BPM: |
Kasabian – Video Games (Lana Del Rey Cover) Posted: 28 Oct 2011 12:16 PM PDT Lana Del Rey has been remixed and covered probably more than anyone else in recent memory. It’s totally warranted. She apparently has finally officially announced that she is signed to Interscope Records, a move that shouldn’t be surprising. It is a move that’s going to keep the haters hating for her being marketing as an indie artist. That’s an argument for another day. Kasabiant aren’t one of those haters. They recently covered “Video Games” for their BBC Live Lounge Session. It doesn’t change up the song at all, but why fix something that’s clearly not broken. Download a mp3 of the cover and watch a video of them playing it, after the jump: [mp3]: Kasabian – Video Games (Lana Del Rey Cover) This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
[watch]: Foster The People – Helena Beat (Live On Letterman) Posted: 28 Oct 2011 12:03 PM PDT Foster The People played “Helena Beat” last night for David Letterman. Yes, there’s more to them than “Pumped Up Kicks”. The band sounded very sharp, showcasing their live skills. I can tell you first hand that these guys are a good time live. Watch their performance below: |
The Drums – How It Ended (Jeremy Summer Camp Remix) Posted: 28 Oct 2011 11:49 AM PDT Jeremy Warmsley from Summer Camp gave The Drums “How It Ended” a slower romantic feel that works wonders. It’s a free download, and something that can help ease you into your Halloween weekend.
