BREAKING NEWS: CAZZETTE added to David Guetta “Titanium” Remixes Posted: 22 Nov 2011 02:31 AM PST Super cliche to say this but once again Christmas came early and its name is “David Guetta – TITANIUM (CAZZETTE’s Ant Seeking Hamster Mix)”. David Guetta released his Titanium Remixes EP exclusively on beatport yesterday, November 21st and just a few hours after midnight, there has been a new addition from no one other than the master dubstep-bass-head CAZZETTE. David pushed to add this last minute but whether it was an accident or not, we like to think he was saving the best for last. Dubstep has evolved tenfold this year, from its continues growth all over the world, to even James Blake bashing “American Brostep” and all that followed. Yet no one has been more consistent with massive after massive release then Sweden’s dubstep dj/producer Cazzette, who rose to fame and recognition having just released a handful of tracks. Pure talent and pure dubstep. Get this off beatport right now. Beatport: David Guetta ft. [Electro House] Avicii – Levels (FTampa Remix) Posted: 22 Nov 2011 02:01 AM PST It’s hard to imagine someone taking Levels and altering it in any way. Avicii’s original track is just pure happiness. But, being someone who likes a dirrrty beat from time to time, there are a few select remixes I enjoy. FTampa, who is based out of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, released this remix three days ago as a free download on his Soundcloud page. While the build up retains that big-room melodic synth that Avicii composed, FTampa brings in his own flavor at the drop. At that point, you better have your dancin’ shoes laced up. You're going to have some hard, choppy, grin-producing electro house on your hands. Avicii – Levels (FTampa Remix)Download audio file (Avicii – Levels (FTampa Remix).mp3) |
[Folk] Jens Lekman – I Don’t Know What To Do With This Information Posted: 21 Nov 2011 03:54 PM PST Swedish singer Jens Lekman is a long-time favourite of ours, thanks to his folky tracks that are peppered with lyrical witticisms. He recently went to London’s Maida Vale studios to lay down some acoustic versions of songs from his latest EP, ‘An Argument With Myself’, and recorded this new track too. ‘I Don’t Know What To Do With This Information’ is more down-tempo and relaxed than his other work, but it’s a great track with a wonderful guitar accompaniment and thought-provoking lyrics. [Video] Florence + The Machine – No Light, No Light Posted: 21 Nov 2011 03:06 PM PST Florence + The Machine are known for their eccentric and dramatic videos, but the recently-revealed clip for ‘No Light, No Light’ is possibly their most flamboyant yet. Filled with religious and occult symbolism, this clip is bewitching, to say the least. The track, taken from her hit album ‘Ceremonials’, is a tale of facing up to demons, and of course features some incredible vocals from Florence herself. A visual and sonic tour de force, ‘No Light, No Light’ will leave its mark on you. |
[Pop] Birdy – 1901 (Phoenix Cover) Posted: 21 Nov 2011 02:23 PM PST Young British singer Birdy recently dropped her self-titled debut, featuring covers of the best indie of the recent past, such as her classic interpretation of Bon Iver’s ‘Skinny Love’. Another highlight from the album is ’1901′, originally by French indie/electro act Phoenix. Stripping away the poppy guitars of their version, Birdy ups the drama to make the song her own. Schlachthofbronx feat. Gnucci Banana – Coolie Fruit (Valentino Khan Remix) Posted: 21 Nov 2011 01:20 PM PST Schlachthofbronx “Coolie Fruit” feat. Gnucci Banana from Man Recordings on Vimeo. There are very few songs I can never get enough off. A couple years back I would put Miike Snow – Animal at least 30 times a day for a whole week. Then for a good while I could not get enough of Die Antwood “I’m a Ninja”, a song that rang very true to the blog, and now I am hooked on Coolie Fruit. German duo Schlachthofbronx have just released what many consider to be their best work yet with "Caribmo" EP on Man Recordings. Their style can be characterized as bounce/cumbia hybrid, oozing with heavy bass. "Caribmo" EP contains an array of great upbeat tracks, most notably “Coolie Fruit”, featuring the completely crazy and adorable Swede Gnucci Banana. But wait, there is more, just a few days ago Los Angeles dj/producer Valentino Khan send us what is a perfect fit for the original with a strong and funky Moombahtoon remix. You can download the track off his facebook for a like. Download for a Like:Schlachthofbronx feat. [Video] Fleet Foxes – The Shrine / An Argument PREVIEW Posted: 21 Nov 2011 01:17 PM PST Folk act Fleet Foxes are set to release a video for ‘The Shrine / An Argument’, from their widely acclaimed sophomore album ‘Helplessness Blues’. The preview hints at a mystical and psychedelia-influenced video that will accompany the track to perfection. Whet your appetite for this sure-to-be intriguing clip above. |
Hardwell and JoeySuki – Munster (Original Mix) Posted: 21 Nov 2011 10:50 AM PST “Munster” (not the cheese) is the new collaborative track coming from Netherlands-natives Hardwell and JoeySuki. It would be cliche to call this track a monster of progressive house but with its throbbing bassline and a giant synth build up, its up there with Frankenstein. Most Hardwell fans will be familiar with the sound and style of the track but JoeySuki does provide a much needed electro spin to it. You can pick it up on beatport today.
