Spector: Grey Shirt & Tie

So I know nearly nothing about Spector, by nearly I mean no more than they have 5 members and have an official site that looks stuck in the late 90′s world of GeoCities. Moving past that and taking the track for what it is – quite a great song! It is a dark electro pop-noir gem that had me hooked from nearly the first note. Oddly reminiscent of Patrick Wolfe, but as if the joyous exuberance had been replaced with a melancholic pout. It is a great bit of Brit-pop that is a bit more true to the darker feeling days of the early 80′s. Now I plan to track down more information, and hopefully Brit pop gems!
