Daily B: Previews of the Femme Fatale Tour DVD Have Arrived, Plus A Bonus Ride on a Jonas

Posted: 31 Oct 2011 04:48 PM PDT

The Holy Spearit‘s been busy these days zooming down (and up and down and up and down and up and down) Europe on her Femme Fatale Tour. And while fans are getting a taste of Queen B overseas, fans stateside are gearing up for the much anticipated premiere of Britney Spears: Femme Fatale Tour on November 12 at 8 PM on EPIX.

Today, a few previews have been launched and sent to different Britney fan sites, including a snippet of “I’m A Slave 4 U,” (seen above) “3,” “Boys” and “(Drop Dead) Beautiful.”

Okay. Sigh. Can we be real here, y’all?

First of all, I’m really pissed about the fact that they’ve decided to dub over the live concert audio with studio versions of every song. It’s as though she’s playing to a completely dead arena–it’s almost creepy! Added to the fact that she occasionally sang live (or at the very least, recorded new “live” vocals for the concert), it’s pretty embarrassing to see that the audio has been so thoroughly (and unnecessarily) edited.

But that’s not the overwhelming issue at hand, is it? Let’s be honest with ourselves. Really, really honest. I love this girl more than any other pop star in the world, but Queen B’s performances are looking–well, it’s looking rough.

I know what I saw during my tour stops in Boston and Hartford, but that’s not at all what I’m seeing in these videos! Very by-the-numbers, very soulless and downright sloppy in places. It’s honestly a bit heartbreaking to watch.

But before I cast any further judgement, we’ll have to wait for the full thing to premiere next week to decide. (Nevertheless: Yay for studio versions of the tour remixes! Keeping it Optimisticney, right? RIGHT?! Sigh. Let the “You’re a bad fan!” comments begin rolling in now…)

Oh, right: Earlier tonight at Wembley Stadium, Godney gave a lap dance to tour opener Joe Jonas

Between me and you, I think he’s got a serious joner going on.

Happy Halloween, Muusers!

Did all my fellow New Englanders survive Snowmageddon? Kind of a holiday buzz-kill, right? Whatever. Even though it kind of feels like the holiday’s already passed, the Witching Hour is finally upon us! I hope wherever you are, your festivities will be filled with scary vampires and zany zombies, two-years-too-late Jersey Shore costumes and countless slutty mice.

To ring in the holiday, MuuMuse is happy to Excluusively offer (the rather ghoulishly titled) “Turn My Flesh Inside Out,” produced by Jeff “Jadion” Wells.

Set against a deliciously dark, throbbin’ beat, the mix weaves back and forth between my ol’ buddy ol’ pal Simon Curtis‘ filthy R∆ track “Flesh” and one of Brit Brit‘s best album cuts (for now, at least…Femme Fatale Single #5, please!) “Inside Out,” better known as the world’s greatest ode to hookin’ up while you’re breakin’ up.

The result? A whole lot of sexy. Seriously–this is one sweaty, storming smash of a mix! It’s hot, hot, HOT!

DOWNLOAD NOW.

PS: If you liked that, check out Jadion’s SoundCloud page to hear the equally yummy Ke$ha/Godney mash-up, “Blow Until The World Ends.” (God, I wish that was the original title of Brit’s single. Mmm papi!)

R∆ was released on June 7. (iTunes)
Femme Fatale was released on March 29. (iTunes)

Eric Saade Burns Up The Dance Floor with Dev on “Hotter Than Fire”

The Swede-pop cutie pie is back!

After unleashing his platinum-selling collection Saade Vol. 1 earlier this summer, Eric Saade isn’t wasting a single minute to release the follow-up: Saade Vol. 2, due out on November 30.

To kick off the campaign, the singer responsible for the never-not-amusing “Manboy,” as well as the wildly successful 2011 Eurovision Song Contest track “Popular,” will unleash “Hotter Than Fire” on November 2, featuring professional US speak-singer Dev.

With its pulsing synthesizers and bangin’ beats, “Hotter Than Fire” is more or less the stuff of today’s R&B-tinged dance floor fodder–from Usher‘s “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love,” Enrique Iglesias‘ “Tonight (I’m Fuckin’ You)” or Taio Cruz‘s “Higher”–though with a distinctly Swedish power-pop sensibility.

And while her verse is a little blink-and-you’ll-miss-it, Dev’s smooth talkin’ assist is a vital addition to this production: “I’m flammable, I’m TNT/Light it up,” she sexily purrs during the chorus.

The song was co-penned along with Jason Gill and Julimar Santos, the same writers behind Saade’s June hit, “Hearts In The Air (Feat. J-Son).” “It’s a song that shows quite clearly where I am going. I love electro-pop and I feel like I'm in the middle of the development to begin to find what I want to do,” Saade says of his new track.

I mean, sure: You’ll probably get tired of it after about a week, but for now? It’s super fun, it’s super dance-y…it’s FIYUH!

Oh My! Puts On Their Dancing Shoes for “Dirty Dancer” (Video Premiere)

Posted: 31 Oct 2011 07:35 AM PDT

Here’s a good way to kick off the week properly: It’s the video premiere for Oh My‘s slammin’ new single, “Dirty Dancer”!

The song–which I featured in my weekly wrap-up for MTV Buzzworthy but not on MuuMuse because I’m terrible and selfish–has been on heavy rotation ever since I first heard it three weeks ago. It’s such an amazing ear-worm!

Watch as Alex and Jade get their kicks by pulling some serious shapes in an all-out kitschy dance-a-thon complete with fly swatters, the Eiffel Tower and a chameleon (amongst lots of other odds ‘n’ ends), plus a guest verse by Grime star Scru Fizzer!

I’m sort of obsessed with the whole ‘we’re just sort of going for it’ vibe of the video. The dancing’s so fierce, the styling’s so zany…such a pretty mess! Nice work, ladies.

“Dirty Dancer” will be released on November 14. (iTunes)
