Passion Pit @ Cornell University (11/5/2011) Posted: 06 Nov 2011 08:20 PM PST Not much has changed since the last time I saw Passion Pit. Michael Angelakos vocals are still incredibly high, the setlist hasn’t changed (aside from the two new songs they’ve been showcasing), and they are incredible fun live. Cornell’s Barton Hall is a beautiful building, and always a good place to see a show. The band had all the students feeling good, and there was no reason to disagree. Passion Pit are just one of those bands that put a smile on your face. The two new songs (“American Blood” and an untitled track that I’m going to call “Take A Walk”) are sounding great, and are definitely a good sign of the new album that is on the way. We Barbarians opened the show and sounded even better than the last time I saw them. Get on their EP, Headspace, if you haven’t already. Passion Pit: |
