Little Racer – Split For The Coast // The Town Posted: 19 Nov 2011 05:07 PM PST Little Racer, a 3-piece from Brooklyn are releasing their debut single via Young and Lost Club. It’s a double-A sided single featuring the songs “Split For The Coast” and “The Town”. The first track has jangly surf rock guitars giving it a frantic feel that is all around contagious. The second A-side is “The Town” is a whimsical treat that sounds old fashioned yet refreshing. It’s one of the better tracks that I’ve heard this month, and when I say that, I mean it. Both tracks are streaming at their bandcamp. I have a stream embeded after the jump. These are not to be missed. |
School Of Seven Bells Announce New Album: Ghostory Posted: 19 Nov 2011 03:46 PM PST School Of Seven Bells will release new album, Ghostory, on February 28 via Vagrant Records. It’s the band’s third album, and their first as a duo, now without former member Claudia Deheza. Ghostory comes with a story in mind: The tale of a young girl named Lafaye and the ghosts that surround her life. Vocalist Alejandra Deheza described the album with the following:
We should be hearing some new music from the band shortly. |
Posted: 19 Nov 2011 03:16 PM PST Carrousel are a self described “dream-pop/folk” band from Tallahassee, Florida. If you like folk tendencies glazed with moments of pop expression, you may fall deeply for Carrousel. They just released an EP called Darling for free on bandcamp. It features three songs all equally as stunning. These are feel good folk songs that you’ll be enthusiastically humming while it’s on repeat. You can download the EP here. After the jump you can stream the entire EP, and watch the music video for “14″ the lush opening track. |
Posted: 19 Nov 2011 01:49 PM PST Manor is the duo of Caitlin Duff, Nathaniel Morse. They hail from Adelaide, Australia, getting together in the early days of 2011. There first song is an absolute delight. Gentle vocals over comforting guitar riffs add up just right in the light pop equation. The band is currently recording their debut full length. For now, enjoy the goodness that is “Rhodesia”. You can stream it below. |
