Posted: 16 Dec 2011 12:07 PM PST Kieran Hebden, AKA Four Tet, has recorded ‘Moma’ for Blonde Redhead’s Kazu Makino who has put together a compilation – ‘We Are The Works In Progress’ – in support of the Japanese tsunami relief work. ‘Moma’ is fairly standard Four Tet fare, but it’s an energetic yet cerebral opener for the album, providing all electronica fans with a dose of vibrant beats and synth. ‘We Are The Works In Progress’ is available on January 10. |
New! Sleigh Bells – ‘Born To Lose’ Posted: 16 Dec 2011 09:59 AM PST SLEIGH BELLS is back and they are making it ‘Reign’ up in the house releasing a tease from their sophmore album, Reign of Terror, coming out February 14. ‘Born to Lose’ could very well have been the self titled track, bringing hard and aggressive noise-filled grunge riffs. What first captivated us about Sleigh Bells was not the utter chaos of sound surrounding each track, but Alexis Krauss ability to pierce through with her distinctively sweet vocals. If you live in Florida, or at least will be there in Februrary, here are the tour dates (via nme) Florida Theatre (February 3) |
