Posted: 20 Dec 2011 09:37 AM PST UK’s dubstep princess Katy B gets a heavy bottom reggae remix by Captain Planet! This one’s been getting major spins in the past couple weeks. For all the reggae lovers out there, don’t sleep on this one! Since the soundcloud player maxed out the available downloads, grab it here. Katy On A Mission (Captain Planet Remix) by DJ Captain Planet Cut Copy's stellar Zonoscope was just nominated for the Best Dance/Electronica Album GRAMMY. The album's closing track, "Sun God", showed us just how epic Cut Copy can get. Andy Weatherall's remix brings out the track's seductive groove and whispers. Cut Copy – Sun God (Andrew Weatherall Remix) by modularpeople Check out The 14th Minute‘s new remix of ‘Clocks.’ The time and effort spent making sure they didn’t take anything away from the amazing original performed by Coldplay is apparent. Yet, in proper remix fashion, they still managed to make it their own, particularly around the 2:00 & 4:30 marks. Coldplay – Clocks (The 14th Minute Remix) by The 14th Minute Now with over 20 years of DJ and production experience, Cheapshot is internationally renowned as a club DJ, an accredited music producer, and a working television composer, therefore doesn’t need much of an introduction. He’s always had a hard -nosed approach to making big things happen and his remix of Beastie Boys track below is no exception. Beastie Boys – So Whatcha Want (Cheapshot Remix) by dj cheapshot Kate Havnevik will be releasing her new single ‘Mouth 2 Mouth’ on 20th February, which will also be the lead single of her new album ‘You’, produced and co-written with Guy Sigsworth (Bjork, Imogem Heap, Robyn, Seal, Madonna). More details of the album are set to run in the new year, but for now Kate is offering up a ‘Mouth 2 Mouth’ free download remix by producer Milsoh. Cris Cab: In My Dreams + Mixtape Coming In January Posted: 19 Dec 2011 07:44 PM PST Check out the first single off of Cris Cab’s upcoming mixtape presented by Billionaire Boys Club, slated for release in January 2012. In a message from Cris, he states, “‘In My Dreams’ is for my fans who have been with me since day one. It’s important that I got this song out first from the new project. A whole lot more to come!” I can’t say I’ve been there since day one as this is the first I’ve encountered Cris Cab, but I’m on board now. There’s no denying he has talent beyond his years. Carla Thomas: Gee Whiz It’s Christmas Posted: 19 Dec 2011 04:08 PM PST Since I’ve had a lot of people asking me what my favorite Christmas song is, I figured I’d break my holiday silence and get festive for a minute. This is my yearly “thank you” to Carla Thomas for proving that tolerable holiday music does in fact exist. I could (almost) play this one year round! MP3: Gee Whiz It’s Christmas by Carla Thomas |
Posted: 19 Dec 2011 03:34 PM PST Check out Secret Original, a trillhop artist out of the West. No facebook page or bio just yet, but in the era of over-hype and self-promotion he adheres to the dictum “less is more” and for now lets the music speak for itself. Got our head nodding. We’re told website and photos are forthcoming (end of this month). This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
