Ruby Goe: Get On It (Beatnik Remix) Posted: 12 Dec 2011 11:12 AM PST Ruby Goe is a deliciously unique pop proposition who recently released her brand new single 'Get On It' through her own label Goe Music. The single narrates an exhilarating evening out on the town, from getting ready to catching the infamous 149 bus to a chorus which celebrates the hedonism of the most memorable nights out. It's instantly addictive and Goe's vocals soar over horns, marching drums and a propulsive beat which sounds bombastic in size. Of her craft Ruby says: "Pop should be quick, spontaneous and natural. I like to start with a concept, a chorus line and work around it. Everything grows from that initial idea." Ruby also caught the ear of Beatnik who gave ‘Get On It’ the remix treatment. The track, available to download below, fueled much of my weekend in NYC as it was a perfect addition to my take-this-city-by-storm playlist.
