Counting Crows – Colorblind (Oliver Schories Edit)

Counting Crows Colorblind (Oliver Schories Edit)

It’s not every day that you see a rework of a Counting Crows song. But when you stop and take a listen, you’ll see why we chose to post this track. Hamburg based producer Oliver Schories is known tech house and deep house sets. He has a style that’s warm and subtle, which is evident in this rework.

Some of you may remember the original song from the movie, Cruel Intentions. The slow, romantic, piano driven song is the perfect backdrop for a nice soft beat. While this one won’t get you on the dance floor, it’s a beautiful remix. It adds a modern twist onto an older song, and does it with class and style.

[Banger] Dream – Go Hard (Crizzly Remix)

Go hard Album Art [Banger] Dream Go Hard (Crizzly Remix)

I think we’re going to start a new law of physics. It will simply state, if Crizzly is playing, your face will melt. This track is a perfect example of what we’re talking about. His remix of the already hard hitting “Go Hard” by Dream, has been ramped up in a way that only Crizzly could do.

Take a listen – his signature style of Crunkstep is written all over this remix. Between the big bass, cranked up synths, and the devastating drops, be prepared to bob your head on this one.

Above And Beyond – You Got To Go (Seven Lions Remix)

Above And Beyond You Got To Go (Seven Lions Remix)

For the musicians and producers out there, I'm sure you would agree that it is always a difficult process to transform a work of art and make it your own.Seven Lions, aka Jeff Montalvo, certainly lived up to the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an upcoming producer to have a release on Above & Beyond's revered Anjunabeats label. They held a  remix contest for "You Got To Go" and he won unanimously with his skillfully crafted dubstep track. Not only did he make the original tune his own, but he harnessed the heaviness of dubstep, while still maintaining the atmospheric aesthetics of trance. Put simply by Above & Beyond, "musically it works, vocally it works and the production is excellent." Support Seven Lions and purchase his remix on Beatport!

“You Got To Go” was released on Above and Beyond’s sophomore album “Group Therapy” in June of 2011. They just finished a remix competition as to who could manipulate both the track and the lovely vocals by of British singer-songwriter Zoë Johnston. What you are about to hear is perhaps one of the most synergetic remixes we have come across.

[Exclusive] Neon Indian – Polish Girl (PatrickReza Remix)

polish [Exclusive] Neon Indian Polish Girl (PatrickReza Remix)

As Christmas came to a close yesterday, we thought we were done getting gifts. Until this came. Late last night the young producer, PatrickReza, sent over this track as an exclusive for us. If you’re not familiar with his work, then you need to start paying attention. Patrick came onto the scene with a huge Lana Del Rey remix, and has been dropping track after track since then.

Patrick has a talent for infusing wobbly bass and synth into each track that he works on, and this is no different. This remix is his take on Neon Indian’s Polish girl and it has a chill melodic feel that works perfect with the original song. When you’re done checking this out, make sure to head over to his Facebook page, where you can keep up on all of his free downloads, shows, and news.
