[EVENT] Re:Mix Labs Los Angeles Events!

So the Hyundai Veloster sponsored Re:Mix Lab is hosting an event series and it focuses pretty much exclusively on good music and interesting panels. They have already kicked off in NYC, Las Vegas, Chicago and Miami. Now LA is their last stop and the festivities start Today at their Downtown LA spot on Main St! I will be pretty much all up in these events’ grills the next few days and here is why: The launch party is tonight night and besides being free, there will be DJ sets from Yeasayer and College (that song from Drive ring a bell?). Later in the week is a free concert with Anamanguchi, a conversation with Cut Chemist, a thing called “Underground Rebel Bingo,” and a whole bunch more stuff. Check the full itinerary here and stay tuned to Twitter for some updates from the events.

Escort apparently caught some praise a few years back with the glitchy spazz disco of “All Through The Night” (and it’s fantastic Muppets-sampling clip).The oversized Brooklyn dance crew have since polished their sound and “Caméleon Chameleon” is the shiny disco dance floor heater that I can’t resist moving to. “Makeover” is another great new track of theirs. Could be disco that’s keeping us warm this winter!

The LP as whole initially left me “meh” but I’ve really been getting into it’s throwback grooves lately. Don’t ignore this LP. Fun for all!
