[FRESH] Avicii – Levels (Skrillex Remix) Posted: 09 Dec 2011 01:33 PM PST It is finally here, one of the most hyped dubstep songs Skrillex has to offer and yet you can rest assure this will kill ‘Levels’ for good, leaving it to slowly die in irrelevance with the other tracks of 2011. Although this is actually a pretty decent remix, we can predict for this to be the tipping point for ‘Levels’ demise soon being overplayed in a few weks. And that is actually the natural order of things in the EDM world, out with the old and in with the new, perhaps we are just bitter because we became so attached to the delicate strings Avicii had to offer in the song and “skrillifying” just does not sound right. Nonetheless, please tell us what you think about the remix from the now Grammy nominated dubstep artist Skrillex. Maybe we are taking things too serious and should just enjoy music. He definitely stepped up the bass on this song providing his signature (and some times overdone) bassline and an slew of destruction to the vocals of ‘Levels’. [Bangers] Knife Party – 100% No Modern Talking EP Posted: 09 Dec 2011 12:57 PM PST Just in time for your Friday night, we have a EP of neck-wrenching bangers. If you’re not familiar with Knife Party, it’s about time you get familiar with them. The side project which consists of Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen from Pendulum throw down some serious heat. The best part about this heat? It’s free. The EP comes out on December 12th and will be available for download on their website. Our personal favorite on this EP? Destroy Them With Lazers. Ninja’s aren’t really known for utilizing the lazer as a weapon, but after this song, we may look into it. The space-age synth gives a serge of energy that builds to a banging-hard drop. The beauty of this track is it switches back and forth between hard electro, and a big-room feel that just makes you want to dance. Happy Friday y’all. His intense drumstep sounds are often mashed with film samples and any other carnage sounding audio waves he can get his hands on. Not for the faint hearted, the producers tracks are aggressive, relentless and are the type of tracks are the type that a super pumped crowd would go nuts for.
