Exclusive Music Video Premiere: Zak Waters’s “Flirt”

Posted: 22 Dec 2011 09:48 AM PST

If there were any doubt that Zak Waters always wanted to be a rock star, those doubts would be erased by watching the dozens of home movies showing him and producer Jarrad Kritzstein practicing their moves since the age of 4. And if there were any doubt that Zak Waters would eventually become a rock star, those doubts would be erased by watching how he has spliced those movies, including some of his parents, family, and friends dating to decades ago, into a captivating and addictive new video for his equally catchy song “Flirt.” How Waters made these videos “fit,” I don’t know, but fit they do–from him as a six year old rapper to cartwheels at recitals, this new video manifests the fun, carefree and even sexy nature of his popular song. (The coolest inclusions, by far, are the 1960′s and 70′s videos of a dance party that shows that flirting hasn’t changed.) If you haven’t yet stumbled upon Zak through this site or another, now is your opportunity to jump on the bandwagon without fear of reprimand. Because if you don’t, you will surely regret it. Download “Flirt,” here, and watch the video below. Soon you too will be dancing around like a six year old and all the happier for it.
