Posted: 27 Dec 2011 07:59 PM PST An absolute must listen and one of the chillest hip/hop song I have come across in a while. We featured Sol back in October when he released ‘So Damn High’ and now we have just the perfect song to play us out. “Stage Dive” is the kind of song that feels organic and underground and yet I wouldn’t be surprised to hear it on the radio. |

[Moombahton] Diplo to release ‘Express Yourself EP’ 4 Free + Sampler Posted: 27 Dec 2011 05:01 PM PST
Diplo did not invent Moombahton, nor has he created enough original tracks in comparison to other Moombahton artists and yet he has been a major player in the explosion of the genre. Throughout Diplo’s career, there is only constant: his ability to create the most technical, catchy and hypnotizing drum beats. From his solo work, Major Lazer, to working with Mayor Labels, his obsessions for beats has been loud and clear. Since the introduction of Moombahton, a genre that he has helped promote through his live sets and support with his own label Mad Decent, Diplo has done more for Moombahton than fart jokes for Louis C. K comedy sets. “Inna few days” Diplo will be releasing Express Yourself EP, an aggressive take on moombahton featuring the likes of Datsik, Elephant Man, and ExcisioHere… completely free.
And also, one of his best ‘Blow Your Head’ mix to date, released this month on Serious/XM Download: Diplo – Sirius/XM “Blow Your Head” 12-16-2011 Tracklist: |
[NEW-ish] Deadmau5 – xmas stuff (I Remember rework) Posted: 27 Dec 2011 03:48 PM PST Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas/Holidays. Due to some personal family issues I had to be absent from my daily operations of the website for a few days. With all that behind me I am back and this is the perfect song to sooth right into things. Deadmau5 released this small treat on his soundcloud 3 days ago and I completely love the super chill vibe he has been going for lately. Listen and download it below! [Mashup] DJ Earworm – United State of Pop 2011 Posted: 27 Dec 2011 11:20 AM PST Not many mashups make it to The Music Ninja but when DJ Earworm drops his massive yearly mashups, we just sit here in awe of his work. We hate mashups because many people can put two songs that song alike together, yet the amount of work gone into these United State of Pop must be a lot more than we can ever imagine. Yes all POP music might sound the same, and as much as we have bashed and continued to bash, at the end of the day it is still music and in some special way, it does make the world a better place. Skrillex – Ruffneck (Official Video) Posted: 27 Dec 2011 11:07 AM PST Santa sure was not ready for the Ruffneck Bass. The new video of Skrilex’s Ruffneck was released two days before Christmas featuring St. Nicholas on drugs getting beat by a couple of thugs to only turn into a ninja and beat them all to hell. The video is not nearly as satisfying or artistic as “First Of The Year (Equinox)” but I am sure this is not the last time Skrillex tries to add some shook value to a music video.
