To those being patience during the launch of our redesign: Thank you. We published early anticipating multiple adjustments and edits and I ask those emailing me criticism to cue George Michael's "Faith" and play it at a high volume. We have an especially exciting few months ahead with our involvement with GRAMMY, exclusive interviews and giveaways scheduled, KKS's first t-shirt debut around the corner, and we're even starting to sketch out the blueprint for our SXSW show in March. [PREMIERE] Unouomedude: Frequency (The Soundmen Remix)

KickKickSnare favorites The Soundmen are at it again. They have lovingly reworked Unouomedude's warm and hazy summer soaked song 'Frequency' into something completely amazing. The Soundmen took a risk in clearing away the haze of sound and sonic clutter that really made you yearn for the sunlit and hungover hazy days of summer, but it was clearing this clutter that really made the melody stand out and take charge. Clearing clutter is just the tip of what they did, adding in strong percussion and bright twinkling synths evoke a lighter, brighter feeling of summer. Of course no song touched by The Soundmen would be a Soundmen track without that funky, strutty dance vibe. Honestly, these guys continue to make this radio edit lover and remix fan, maybe what it really took was someone who can make a remix that is hands now better than the original.

CUT/COPY’s Zonoscope Nominated For Best Dance/Electronica Album GRAMMY

Cut/Copy's stellar Zonoscope has been nominated for a GRAMMY in the Best Dance/Electronica Album category. This is the band's first nomination and bookends a phenomenal year that saw the band play to rapturous audiences across the globe including a thundering Coachella set and headlining slot at Austin City Limits. The GRAMMY Awards will be held on Sunday, February 12th at Los Angeles' Staples Center and will be televised on CBS that same day at 8 pm EST / 7 PM CST.

Zonoscope is Cut Copy boiled down to their purest form, a suite of futuristic visions built upon primal rhythm tracks. It is at once their most immediate work to date but also their most sonically exquisite. "Take Me Over" perfectly encapsulates this, its chiming highlife guitars bouncing around tropical percussion reminiscent of an island holiday in a pop song.

So we've made it to December... no more fall, no more November. We're about to be waist deep in mittens, holiday music on repeat, coke-cola polar bears and hopefully some J-mo spiked cider. To kick off this season-o-spiked-cider, we've got a jolly mix of tunes that will keep you warm until you finally bite the bullet and buy a winter coat after you lost your last one boozin too hard last February (or maybe that's just me.)
